HOOFSTEP SCIENCE
THE LARGEST DATABASE IN THE WORLD FOR HORSE BEHAVIOR
HoofStep monitors, registers, and measures 130+ equine movements through its smart sensor working with Hoofstep's artificial intelligence. 2016 was the year of "proof of concept" when we first identified a broad spectrum of activities, including various gaits and subtle changes including concerning changes such as lameness, laminitis and colic. Since then, we have continued to hone the technology and have added new features such as tracking foaling and early growth developments.
Over the years, we have also verified that the placement on the forehead captures the richest amount of data by using the movements of the head. Not only does the HoofSstep device indicate a horse's body movements but also identifies chewing, sleeping, riding, and interactions with other horses.
EVERYTHING ENHANCES EFFICACY
Through of power of HoofStep's data and proprietary AI, every user is provided with honed and highly accurate insights, all through an easy-to-understand app. The data is built on the location of the horse (GPS), physical movements, and activities such as "eating", "resting", "active", or "highly active".
Alerts and alarms inform the user about changes from a horse's normal activities. Unusual activities include rolling, scraping, yawning, looking back and more.
