Terms and Conditions

Pricing and payments

The price of the product is quoted in SEK. This price includes VAT but not the delivery cost.

A starting fee for all equipment during the period is charged and included in the first payment

 

The subscription period is 12 months and is prolonged with another 12 months automatically unless canceled a minimum of 30 days before the end of the subscription period.
The subscription can be paid monthly or annually in advance. 

 

For all other currencies and markets, the sales price in your currency depends on your bank and the current exchange rates. Therefore, you will see the exact price paid on your bank statement only after having placed the order. Please feel free to use an online currency converter to get an idea of the approximate price of your currency. Unfortunately, we are in no position to answer this question for all different currencies, banks, and countries.

We reserve the right to adjust the prices after the end of each subscription period.

In case you have other needs than described here, we can create tailored solutions for larger farms, clinics, research facilities as well as larger breeders.

Right of withdrawal

 

You can cancel the order within 14 day after reviewing the product. You have no right of withdrawal if the products are damaged, lost due to carelessness.

Delivery

When in stock, the product is usually shipped between 2-5 working days. 
Free shipment in Sweden.

Delivery costs to other countries

350 SEK (Swedish kronafor a shipment within Europe, and

500 SEK to the USA.

Replacement guarantee

HoofStep sends replacement products if something breaks during normal wear or direct defects. 

To claim a replacement, you must write an email to support@hoofstep.com.

 

In case you need more replacements during the 12 month period you can order at a discounted price. Please email support@hoofstep.com and we will help you with all extra replacements.

The product to be replaced must be sent back to us. The customer takes care of the costs of the return shipment. Send it to HoofStep AB, Odens Väg 14 b, SE-30275 Halmstad, Sweden.

Refund guarantee

If you wish to cancel a subscription, you must inform HoofStep via e-mail 1 month within the end of the subscription period.

Returned products must be in good condition, according to our kind eyes. Deduction towards the deposit can be made in case the product has not been handled with care. If horse units, farm units or chargers are missing, we unfortunately have to claim compensation for this.

Send the products directly after the end of the subscription period so that no extra month is invoiced.

Recycle and reuse

HoofStep® has a take-back program that allows us to recycle. Discarded hardware components are taken care of by an external part for recycling. This is for minimal environmental impact. 

 

Software

Handling of Personal Data

HoofStep® AB processes personal information for users, customers, subscribers and members who use our services. We protect your privacy and comply with applicable laws that are intended to protect you as an individual. HoofStep® AB is responsible for the processing of personal data on this site. "Personal Data" means any information that can be directly or indirectly linked to a living person. This privacy policy applies to HoofStep's entire operations.

HoofStep® uses personal information primarily to administer, provide, develop and maintain the services. The data is also used to process your orders, manage subscriptions (physical as well as digital), optimize your experience of the services, and personalize our communication with you. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand how and for what purposes we treat your personal information. By submitting your personal information to us and accepting the applicable terms, you agree that your personal information is processed following the terms of this Privacy Policy. If the law requires more specific consent from you, we will, of course, ask for one.

Changes to these terms are announced by publishing the new terms on the HoofStep® website, and we recommend that you regularly review these terms. If you add personal information about other persons, you are responsible for the fact that HoofStep® may also process the personal data following applicable terms.

 

Use of HoofStep’s digital services

HoofStep’s Digital Services refers to all websites, apps, and other possible additional or temporary services. By using HoofStep's digital services, you accept that HoofStep® actively collects, manages, stores, and uses, and otherwise processes your personal information for HoofStep® and our affiliates to provide the services. For persons under the age of 18, the parent's consent for registration and handling of personal data is required. By agreeing to these terms, you confirm that you are either over 18 or your guardian agrees that HoofStep® stores and manages your personal information following these terms and conditions. HoofStep® reserves the right to have the consent verified.

HoofStep® may commence subcontractors to fulfil a variety of features such as marketing, invoicing, subscription management, and other technical services. These subcontractors may in some cases gain access to the user's data is necessary to enable them to perform a service for HoofStep®. HoofStep® treats all personal information with great care and HoofStep's subcontractors may use personal data only to perform tasks for HoofStep®.

HoofStep® does not transfer personal data to countries outside the EU / EEA. However, for example, if we have a subcontractor in a country outside the EU / EEA or it is necessary for us to fulfill our contractual obligations towards you, transfer of personal data outside the EU / EEA may occur, even if that country, according to the EU Commission, does not have adequate protection of personal data. To ensure a high level of protection of your data in such situations, and compliance with EU / EEA rules, HoofStep® agreements include the requirements that the applicable law imposes to protect the transferred personal data with such subcontractors. Through this privacy policy, you accept that personal data about you may be transferred to companies and organizations, both within and outside the EU. You also accept that data/registration information is used to target audiences for marketing purposes. You also accept that such information may be disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes. Such disclosure of information will always be anonymous.

You may, after a written application to HoofStep®, obtain information about what personal data is registered about you. If you have any incorrect personal information, you may want to be corrected. You can also apply for personal data to be deleted.

Purposes for which we process your personal information

HoofStep® collects personal data for different purposes. What personal data is collected and how they are collected depends on which services you use.

HoofStep® uses personal data to:

  • Manage, provide, develop and maintain services.

  • Handle your orders and subscriptions.

  • Contact you, for example, by SMS / phone / Messenger, email or physical mail.

  • Diagnose errors, optimize the technology and contact you in case of problems with an order or performance of services.

  • Analyze and improve the quality and experience of the services, for example, to verify that your user account is not used by others.

  • Individualize the communication with you regarding our services, for example, by creating a profile for you and sending offers that suit your profile as a user of our services.

  • Analyze statistics and user behaviour regarding our services.

  • Increase your benefit and experience of our services in other ways we think you would appreciate.

  • Market services and products.

 

You may, at any time and without charge, request that HoofStep® not process your data for marketing purposes or revoke your consent to this.

 

However, please note that, even if consent is revoked, HoofStep® may, for any other legal reason, still have the right to process your personal information, such as performance of an agreement.

Data Collected

HoofStep® collects different information depending on the service you are using. HoofStep® stores complete contact information in the form of social security number, name, age, gender, mobile number, address and e-mail address. This is to keep your information up to date as well as deliver as personified, relevant communication to you as possible. As a customer of HoofStep® or a member of one of our digital services, you will receive newsletters or messages with HoofStep’s offers and news. You can at any time choose to unsubscribe from our newsletters or messages by a visible link.

HoofStep® saves the data recorded as long as you choose to remain as a member/customer. After a finished subscription of HoofStep’s services, contact information is stored for 36 months and can be used for marketing purposes during this time.

We also use personalization in our communications through social media and web advertising on other websites. For analysis of user patterns and personalization, we use cookies.

HoofStep® Cookie policy

According to the Electronic Communications Act, all visitors to websites that use cookies must be informed accordingly. The visitor should also be allowed to prevent cookies from being stored on the computer. A cookie is a small text file that is saved on your computer when you visit a website that uses cookies. The next time you visit the same site, it can read your cookie and display the pages according to your settings. We collect information about your computer, such as your IP address, operating system, and browser type, for system administration. For the same purpose, we collect information about your general internet usage using cookies.

We also use cookies to improve and customize the site. Cookies help us, among other things, to:

  • Estimate the number of visitors and their usage patterns

  • Recognize you when you return to the page

If you do not accept cookies, your browser can be set so that you automatically deny the storage of cookies or be informed each time a site requests to store a cookie. Through the browser, previously stored cookies can also be deleted. See the browser's help pages for more information. If you did not change your browser's settings to deny cookies, our system will place cookies on your computer when visiting the site. Subcontractors / Personal Information Assistants

HoofStep® employs consultants and suppliers to provide services. Subcontractors may in some cases need access to personal data to fulfill their duties. They are then considered personal information assistants. In cases where subcontractors, in turn, hire external parties, these shall be approved by HoofStep® under separate agreements.

Wix - Website and online store

HubSpot - Manages emails based on information from HoofStep®. Saves the e-mail recipient's newsletter register.

Manychat/messenger - A bot handling direct messenger with subscribers to this channel.

Stripe - Online payment system
Get Accept - digital  contract signing

HoofStep® also uses external services such as Facebook, Messenger, and Google for marketing, web features, and statistics. These companies collect via HoofStep’s information from users of our services, but HoofStep® does not provide any personal information such as name, social security number or addresses of these companies. The collection of these services is handled by our Cookie Policy.

Storage times

HoofStep® saves all the personal data we collect in our customer database.

HoofStep® contains and selects personal data following applicable law. This means, for example, that HoofStep® erases or depersonalize personal data when the purpose of processing personal data is no longer available.

Be active

HoofStep® encourages you to share information on incidents with other users and support people.

Be honest

When communicating in the HoofStep® App, it’s important to be yourself. You should provide information that is accurate and non-speculative.

Be respectful

Your use of language within HoofStep® should be clear, informative, supportive, and respectful to other users. We do not tolerate abusive, racist, sexist, or any other derogatory or defamatory language.

HoofStep’s product and the app are developed for the good of the horse. Support your fellow riders and everyone in the stable surroundings.

You should always consider the safety of the horse and its caretakers. Act in that way.

Keep it honest

For HoofStep® to operate effectively and honestly, keep your contributions factually correct. Don’t post fake incidents/events and don’t post false or misleading information.

Keep it classy

Posts that contain offensive language or profanities are never necessary and will not be tolerated by HoofStep®. HoofStep® is not associated with any religious or political group and we feel that community messaging should follow suit. Posts that are politically or religiously focused will not be welcome within this environment and should be reported.

Keep it private

You may not post other people's private information without their express authorization and permission. Definitions of private information may vary depending on local laws.
